3-28-2003 L@@kee What I got for my Birthday!  Welcome the new members of the family

The Alinco DX-70 & The Yaesu FT-2800M

  Both these guys are real powerhouses.  The Yaesu was a good addition to the van and the Alinco has made a great HF unit for the house.  Plus it can do 6 Meters which is a real plus.   Another thing I bought was the Gordon West Morse Code tapes for learning the code.  Gordon West makes learning the code fun.

3-16-2003  I added a new link to KC3OL's web Forum.  Heard about it from K0OJ via the 146.940 repeater here in good ole' Colorado.  Incidentally he is pictured next to his new toy in the "boat anchors" section under the K0OJ Project.  K0OJ is one cool guy and he was one of the VEs that was at my testing for Technician.

3-16-2003  The NEW Hamshack is ready to go!  Not much to brag about yet but functional!

3-9-2003 Just ordered my Level 1 Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Manual from ARRL.  Hope to take the test in the next few months.
