BPL has raised quite a stink over the last couple of years with the ham community.  After President Bush's stance on having Internet in every house before the end of the next decade, The FCC has kind of looked the other way while the Electric companies have put there voodoo magic on the power lines testing a new technology that causes harmful interference with HF radio.  As we know, the heartbeat of communications.  As many of you might remember the Tsunami that happened, HF was the main source of communications for some of the small countries that were destroyed by it.  Without HF, they would have been cutoff from any communications.

So starts our new page dedicated to BPL.  You should see the link in our bar above.....Enjoy!

In January I slipped and didn't renew our domain www.thehamshack.info. We have been using this new domain since then.  We recently setup a deal with the owner to buy back the name and hopefully we will have a mirror site in Virginia soon.  Stay tuned for more details.

Not much going on right now but things are warming up so soon we will have some things on the site.  Yesterday I tried to get a handheld radio setup in the kitchen and found I was 10' short on my coax feed line.  There seemed to be some teeth marks on the area where there used to be feed line!  Who could have done this?   anyone?.....anyone?.....bueller?

"Peebles" sleeping on the deck...guarding our feed lines....yeah right!
